Storm drains move the rainwater to the river so it doesn't flood your basement or the road where it can become ice. There are over 100 of these in the Borough and we have been working hard to clean them out. We've found some that have been buried for years. Do your part: keep the drains in front of your house clear of leaves and debris.
Burning leaves can make it hard for your neighbors to breathe. Please consider mulching or composting. Burning is allowed from now until the end of the year: you must not leave it unattended, must do during daylight, must not do on windy days, must be on your property and not on the street.
