Storm drains move the rainwater to the river so it doesn't flood your basement or the road where it can become ice. There are over 100 of these in the Borough and we have been working hard to clean them out. We've found some that have been buried for years. Do your part: keep the drains in front of your house clear of leaves and debris.

You may have noticed we've been trimming trees and bushes along the roadsides. If you've been wondering why, these are the reasons: it keeps vehicles from being damaged from falling limbs, allows the sun to dry up the road for better road maintenance and safety, and improves line of sight at intersections.
